On a day that life ends for one,
Life goes on...
As if... it never existed...
This thing - this being...

With life, what goes on too
Is the legacy
That he left behind

All those years
When he was stuck in glorified races that he had
With himself, and with them all
And the pain he saw first hand,
In himself first and then through others
Brought him to tears...
Shedding all his fears...
He decided then, to go
And create his own...
Not fortune, but legacy...

A legacy that is, of gold...
Not gold, but golden...
Not diamonds, but still forever...

With life, what goes on too
Is the legacy
That he left behind

Stars would rise, at a shining time...
And speak of me, with pride galore
Of all the women, and men that followed
The path I set, and all those thirsty souls
A legacy, of mine, was left behind
For I, was also He,
That everyone had come to speak of

In their living years, and then some...
And then some, for years after mine were done...

Shadow Dancing - ekphrastic - prompt #3...

If I were to dance
With my spirits awake...
I will be a shadow
Dancing in the dark...
For you I'm just a name
Oh but you see, I'm
Never the same...
Predictable yet unknown,
All at the same time...

Like a shadow dancing,
Dancing in the dark...
So true, yet not so at all,
For the light creates me- the shades do not...
Oh yellow, mellow, and bright...
To find me you will...
Have to dance along,
In the dark...
And be my shadow
All at the same time...

If you seek any shade
Maybe you should
Try and plant a tree

A new lease - renewed

It's another Monday morning and I badge in.
It sounds fine, even looks normal.
Yet, I cannot seem to get in.
And then I am told that I expired.
In their system, that is...

For a moment,
I had almost forgotten
That I am on a lease...
For after all,
Just like the others,
a temporary being
on a temporary lease

Well, atleast this one
Can be and will be renewed...
A new lease... Of life...
This NaPoWriMo...
